Positive & Collaborative Culture

At Scholar Academies, staff members meet weekly to share best practices, review student data, and create stronger lesson plans. Home Office team members collaborate with teachers, leaders and school-based staff to support life in our schools.

Approach that balances structure and autonomy

School-wide culture systems create a strong sense of community for students and staff. Our students understand the expectations for engagement in classrooms and community spaces and staff members hold students accountable by implementing clear consequences and rewards. These structures and the support of our culture team allow teachers to build a strong sense of community in the classroom while capitalizing on their individual strengths and creativity design daily lessons.

Talent Development & Coaching

Scholar Academies matches each teacher with an instructional coach who provides weekly feedback on lesson plans and instructional practices. Additionally, students are dismissed early on Fridays and the rest of the day is dedicated to professional development and team building. We also provide opportunities for experienced team members to take on formal and informal leadership roles in order to make an impact beyond their classrooms.

High Expectations for All

We set ambitious goals for our students, who often come in multiple grade levels behind. At Scholar Academies, we are dedicated to preparing students for success in college preparatory high schools. We offer our student support in the form of academic interventions, culture initiatives, and a focus on teacher development.
